Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax advisers attach great importance to the protection of your personal data. In this privacy statement, we want to provide clear and transparent information about how we handle personal data.
We make every effort to ensure your privacy and therefore handle personal data with care. Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax advisers will in all cases adhere to the applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation. This implies that we at least:

Processing of personal data of customers or suppliers
Personal details of customers or suppliers are processed by Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax advisers for the following purposes:
- Administrative purposes;
- Communication about the assignment;
- The execution of or granting of an assignment.
The basis for these personal data is:
- The agreed assignment;
For the purposes as stated above, Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax advisers can request the following personal data from you:
- First names;
- Infix;
- Surname;
- Address details;
- Telephone number;
- E-mail address;
- Sex;
- National registration number (BSN).
- Further (financial) data necessary to carry out the assignment.
Your personal data will be stored by Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax advisers for the processing tasks referred to above for the following period:
- For the duration of the agreement and an additional maximum period of 7 years afterwards, or longer if required by law.
Processing of personal data of former clients
Personal data of former clients are processed by Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax advisers for the following purposes:
- Administrative purposes.
The basis for these personal data is:
- The agreed assignment;
Your personal data will be stored by Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax adviser for the processing tasks referred to above for the following period:
- For a maximum period of 7 years, or longer if required by law.
Disclosure to third parties
We may share the information that you provide us with third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the purposes referred to above.
For example, we use a third party for:
- Preparing and filing income tax returns / corporation tax returns / turnover tax returns / wage tax returns / gift tax returns /
inheritance tax returns/ deferment forms / pension calculations;
- Handling the (financial) accounts.
We only pass on personal data to parties with whom we have entered into a processing agreement. Of course, we make the necessary arrangements with these parties (processors) concerned to ensure the security of your personal data. Furthermore, we will not disclose the information provided by you to other parties unless this is legally required and permitted. We may also share personal data with third parties if you give us permission to do so in writing.
Inside the EU
We do not disclose personal data to parties that are located outside the EU without your permission.
Minors
We only process personal data of minors (persons under the age of 18) if written permission to do so has been granted by the parent, caregiver or legal representative.
Storage period
Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax advisers do not store personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which the data were provided or as is required by law.
Security
We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unlawful processing. For example we have taken the following measures:
- All persons who have access to your data on behalf of Rechtuijt [Inter]national tax adviser, are obliged to maintain their confidentiality;
- We apply a username and password policy on all our systems;
- We use pseudonyms and ensure the encryption of personal data if there is reason to do so;
- We make back-ups of the personal data in order to be able to restore these in the event of physical or technical problems;
- We regularly test and evaluate our measures;
- Our employees are informed about the importance of the protection of personal data (where applicable).
Rights concerning your data
You have the right to inspect the personal data we have received from you, and to have them corrected or deleted. You can also object to the processing of your personal data (or parts thereof) by us or by one of our processors. You also have the right to have the data provided by you transferred back to you or ask us to transfer them directly to another party. We can ask you to identify yourself before we can comply with a request as referred above.
If we have your permission to process your personal data, you always have the right to withdraw this permission.

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask you to contact us directly. If we cannot find a solution together with you, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.
